Two days! Yes a two day training course can be your ticket to “I am a Scrum Master”. This has occurred as it is a relatively new discipline and seen as a simple set of techniques to follow meaning anyone who can follow a few principles can be a Scrum Master.
In time the Scrum Master role will become as defined as a Project Manager and people will see this as a career choice rather than something to have a go at. Having just written up the Scrum Master role at my company it’s very evident how different this is to the project manager or team lead. I recommend if you want to get to grips with this role then start by writing a job spec, do this from resources around the Internet and watch your eyes open to the role.
